During our Open House we offer all kids the opportunity to explore the world of paddling thru a 15min free paddling experience. This is a great way to understand what a canoe or kayak can feel like and spark the pleasure for paddling. We also have Try-It days in Spring at the Pool.
Learn to Paddle
This 1 hour program is great for kids aged 7-18 years old who have never paddled before and are curious about how much fun it can be to spend the summer on the water.
This 2 hour program is for the paddler who already has some basic paddling experience but is ready to practice more strokes, tour the shoreline, and learn some fun paddling games.
Parents and families of paddlers can join the PGCKC and enjoy a canoe (or BYOB) paddle around the lake at the same time their child is paddling in an Adventure Paddle or 6 Week Paddling Program. Certain restrictions apply.
This 3 hour program is for paddlers who are confident in canoe or kayak and want to enjoy the afternoon by exploring around the shoreline, going into open water, and playing water-based games.
