We offer all kids the opportunity to explore the world of paddling thru a free 15min paddling experience. This is a great way to understand what a canoe or kayak can feel like and spark the pleasure of paddling. These programs are held at the Lake and at the Pool.
This 1 hour program is great for kids aged 7-18 years old who are new to paddling and are curious about how much fun it can be to spend the summer on the water. Paddlers learn water and boat safety skills and are introduced to basic paddle strokes.
Kids who are comfortable on the water and looking for a longer adventure can sign up for this 3 hour mini-day trip. Paddlers will be guided beyond the beach shoreline and across open water. This program will develop their confidence, endurance and provide experience packing their own boat.
Kids can sign up for a 1 or 2 hour Fun Paddle. This program incorporates games and activities to build on existing paddling skills and have fun exploring the shoreline.
If your child has signed up for an Adventure Paddle, Learn to Train or Train to Train program, then you too can paddle at West Lake using either a PGCKC canoe or BYOB.
For families who would like to get out on West Lake but are new to paddling, sign up for our 2 hour family paddle where we guide your around the shoreline and into open water to explore this beautiful lake.
